One summer day, a hardworking ant was busy gathering food. He worked hard all day long to store food in his burrow. On the other hand, a grasshopper was having fun, singing, and spending his free time.
The grasshopper laughed and said, “Why are you working so hard? It’s time to be happy!”
The ant replied, “I’m preparing for winter. There won’t be any food then.”
The grasshopper didn’t pay much attention to the matter. But when winter came, snow fell all around, and there was a food shortage. The grasshopper became weak due to lack of food. On the other hand, the ant had enough food, and he was able to spend the winter safely.
Then the grasshopper realized, “If I had worked hard in the summer, I wouldn’t have suffered today.”
Moral lesson: Hard work is the key to success in life.
