One hot summer day, a small ant went to the river bank in search of food. Suddenly, it slipped and fell into the river water. It tried desperately to save its life, but was swept away by the strong current.
A kind pigeon saw the scene. It quickly picked up a leaf in its beak and threw it into the water. The ant was able to climb onto the leaf and reach the shore safely.
A few days later, a hunter was going to hunt the pigeon with a gun. The ant saw it and quickly bit the hunter's leg. The hunter jumped in pain, and the gun fell from his hand. Taking this opportunity, the pigeon flew away.
The pigeon thanked the ant and said, "You saved me, just as I helped you that day."
Moral lesson: Kindness is rewarded one day.
